What materials can you process with a CNC router?

How does a Oscillating Knife work?

Germany EOT-3 oscillating knife uses a high frequency vibration cutting blade to operate up and down to cut soft materials. Its vibrating frequency can reach ten thousand times per minute. So it has high cutting efficiency, and is suitable for cutting carbon fiber, leather, PVC, glass fiber, fiber cotton, prepreg cloth, aramide fiber, ceramic fiber, XPE material, silk coil, silica gel, rubber, acrylic, KT board and other flexible materials.

Why would you use it over your routing spindle?

Using a routing spindle is not a viable option for some materials. Especially thin and flexible materials that are not robust enough to be routed successfully. The force from the router bit tends to cause a lot of distortion in the material and therefore delivers a poor accuracy and edge quality. For these types of material, the oscillating knife is the perfect solution.
